Formerly operating as ‘Community Solidarity Response Toronto’, the Mining Injustice Solidarity Network has been organizing since 2008. Since then, we have been involved in a range of activity, including conferences, campaigns, speaking events, public actions, workshops, partnerships, and more. One of our biggest priorities is mobilizing resources for people from mining-affected communities to come to Toronto and speak about the impacts that mines have had on their communities and about the resistance in their communities.
Some of the projects we have worked on in the past can be found below:
- 2009 – The Question of Sustainability
- 2010 – Mining (In)justice – At Home and Abroad
- 2011 – Confronting Corporate Impunity
- 2012 – Resisting Extractivism
